Mohammad Haji-Rasoulpour, 57, from the city of Bukan, was arrested at his shop on 23 November 2022 by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the nationwide protests sparked by the state killing of Jina Amini. Due to his critical physical condition caused by severe torture, he was released from prison on bail on 13 December 2022. Immediately after being transferred to Shahid Gholipour Hospital in Bukan, he fell into a coma and died on 19 December 2022.
Mohammad Haji-Rasoulpour, a former political prisoner and one of the detainees of the Jina Revolution, was first arrested during the nationwide protests on 1 October 2022 and was released on bail on 17 October 2022. He was arrested for a second time on 23 November 2022 at his shop by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and was again released on bail on 13 December 2022 due to his critical physical condition resulting from severe torture.
