Mohammad Amini, a resident of Sanandaj, was targeted and killed from behind with a Kalashnikov rifle by the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on October 8, 2022. This occurred in the alley of Neyshkar Pastry in the Karamozi neighborhood of Sanandaj during the nationwide protests following the state-sanctioned killing of Zhina Amini.
