Mino Majidi, born in 1960 in Kermanshah, was a Kurdish Yarsani and a teacher. At the age of 61, she was killed on September 20, 2022, by security forces during the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” (Woman, Life, Freedom) uprising.
That day, she had joined the protests in response to the state killing of Jina (Mahsa) Amini. On twothSi-Metri Second Street in the 22 Bahman neighborhood of Kermanshah, she was shot in the head at close range by security forces.
Her funeral was held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Mina-Abad cemetery in Kermanshah. A large crowd attended the ceremony, chanting “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” to voice their outrage over her killing.
