Keyvan Darvishi, a 42-year-old resident of Sanandaj County, was shot with pellet guns by the forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on October 26, 2022, in the 25-Ring Road neighborhood of the city during the nationwide protests over the state killing of Zhina (Mahsa) Amini. He died from the severity of his injuries.
It is worth noting that Keyvan Darvishi’s death certificate lists the cause of death as cardiac arrest.
