Ghafour Moloudi, a 52-year-old from Bukan, was shot on 17 November 2022 during the nationwide protests over the state killing of Jina Amini. He was struck by more than 100 shotgun pellets to the chest and heart. After being taken to the hospital, he died due to the severity of his injuries and the complete rupture of his cardiac arteries.
It is worth noting that government forces pressured his family to hold the burial at night and without public attendance. However, in accordance with Mr. Moloudi’s own wishes, his body was laid to rest on 18 November 2022 in his hometown, the village of Saholan in Bukan, with a large crowd in attendance.
