Freshteh Ahmadi, a 32-year-old woman from Sardasht and a resident of Mahabad, was killed on October 27, 2022, during the nationwide protests over the state killing of Zhina (Mahsa) Amini. While she was on the roof of her home, she was shot in the chest by the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and died as a result.
Freshteh Ahmadi was married and the mother of two children.
According to reports, the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic opened fire on her while she was hanging clothes on the line.
It is worth noting that state-affiliated media claimed her death was caused by gunfire from inside her own home—an allegation that was strongly denied by her family.
