Fereydoun Faraji, a 28-year-old from Saqqez County, was killed in Baneh on October 27, 2022, during the nationwide protests over the state killing of Zhina (Mahsa) Amini. He was shot from behind with two live bullets—one hitting the left side of his pelvis and another fired at close range into his heart—by the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Fereydoun Faraji worked at a restaurant in Baneh. On the evening of October 27, 2022, during the protests in the city’s Varzesh Boulevard, he was shot and killed at close range with live ammunition by the regime’s repressive forces right in front of his workplace.
