Esmail Gol-Anbar, a 39-year-old resident of Javanrud, was killed on 21 November 2022 during the nationwide protests against the government’s killing of Zhina (Mahsa) Amini. He was shot and killed on Behdari Street in Javanrud by direct fire from a DShK heavy machine gun mounted on a Toyota vehicle, operated by Iranian security forces who were firing at civilians.
Esmail Gol-Anbar was married and the father of a two-year-old daughter.
