Afshin Asham, a 28-year-old man from Sorkhak Sanjabi village and resident of Paliabad neighborhood in Qasr-e Shirin, was killed on October 26, 2022, during the nationwide protests over the state killing of Zhina (Mahsa) Amini, after being directly shot by the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the chest and abdomen.
After killing Afshin Asham, the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic confiscated his body and transferred it to the Nabi Akbar Corps in Kermanshah, with security agencies demanding a 250 million toman bail for releasing his body to his family.
It is worth noting that Afshin Asham’s funeral was held on October 28, 2022, in Sorkhak Sanjabi village, Qasr-e Shirin County, with a large public turnout and protest slogans.
