According to information received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights, Elham Alizadeh, known as “Soheila,” a 30 year old woman from Mahabad, was detained by forces of the Intelligence Department on Sunday, September 6, 2026, and transferred for interrogation to one of that agency’s security detention facilities in Orumiyeh.
Forces of the Intelligence Department detained Elham Alizadeh after going to her family home in Mahabad. According to available information, the agents presented no order or judicial document to her family at the time of her detention.
Following her detention, Elham Alizadeh was transferred from Mahabad to Orumiyeh and has been under interrogation at one of the Intelligence Department’s security detention facilities.
As of the time of this report’s preparation, the cause and legal basis for her detention, the possible charge against her, the detention order issued, and her state of health remain unclear.
