According to information received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Monday, August 10, 2026, a kolbar identified as Mohammad Tohidpanah, 25 years old, married, and from the village of Vazmaleh, in Sarshiw District, Saqqez County, lost his life as a result of direct military gunfire in the Hengejal border area of Baneh.
According to information received, military forces stationed in the area opened fire on Mohammad Tohidpanah without issuing any prior warning, and he lost his life after being struck by gunfire.
In condemning the direct shooting of kolbars, the Hana Organization for Human Rights emphasizes that the use of lethal force against kolbars constitutes an arbitrary use of lethal force and a violation of the right to life.
