Bukan: Maryam Davoudian Sentenced to Three Months in Ta’zir Imprisonment

HANA Human Rights Organization has learned that Maryam Davoudian, a 58-year-old citizen of Bukan, has been sentenced by Branch 101 of the city’s Criminal Court to three months in ta’zir imprisonment, a sentence the court has converted to a fine of 93 million tomans in lieu of prison time.

The verdict was issued and communicated to her on Sunday, July 19, 2026, according to information received.

Maryam Davoudian had previously been arrested on April 20, 2026, after a phone summons to the Intelligence Office, and was transferred to Orumiyeh Central Prison. She was released on temporary bail of five billion tomans after eight days in detention, pending her trial.
