Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, Khabat Dehdar, a labor activist and former political prisoner, was arrested following a raid by security forces.
According to received information, security forces arrested him at his workplace without presenting any judicial warrant. In a parallel operation, officers also raided his family home, creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation, conducting a thorough search, and confiscating some of his personal belongings.
It should be noted that Khabat Dehdar, who had previously faced pressure from security authorities due to labor rights activism, was sentenced in November 2023 to 12 months of suspended imprisonment by the judiciary. His re-arrest comes while, as of the time of this report, no information is available regarding his place of detention or the charges against this labor activist.
