January protests / Milad Gachlou killed by direct gunfire from security forces in Meshkin Dasht Karaj

Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, a 39-year-old Kurdish citizen named Milad Gachlou, from Bijar and residing in Meshkin Dasht, Karaj, was killed during public protests in the city. He succumbed to gunshot wounds inflicted by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to an informed source, he was shot with a live bullet from the roof of the local Basij center.
