According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization, on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, during protests in Isfahan, a Kurdish citizen identified as Hossein Shirkol from Zarinabad, a district of Dehloran County, was killed as a result of direct gunfire by the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to received reports, Hossein Shirkol was shot at close range with a Kalashnikov assault rifle.
It is noteworthy that the body of this Kurdish citizen was returned to his family after five days and was buried on Wednesday, January 14, in Zarinabad.
