Nazila Marufian, a Kurdish journalist, announced her departure from Iran by publishing a video.

She says that after leaving Iran, she was detained and tortured for 13 days in Sulaimaniya prison in Iraq.

Mrs. Marufian added that after several arrests and death threats, she explained the circumstances that led to her leaving Iran and what happened to her.

On August 30, 2023, Nazila Marufian was arrested by the government forces for the fourth time since the beginning of the women's uprising, the woman life freedom, movement, and was arrested by Branch 26 of Tehran Revolutionary Court headed by Judge "Iman Afshari" on charges of "propaganda against the system and community and colluding with Intent to disrupt internal security" was sentenced to one year of imprisonment and a fine of 15 million Tomans.

This Kurdish journalist on "August 30, 2023"
 was arrested and beaten by the government forces for supporting Mehdi Yarahi and was temporarily released from Evin prison on September 9, 2023.

It should be noted that since October 30, 2022, this is the fourth time that she has been harassed and arrested by government institutions.
