A worker died in Mako due to a work accident

According to the reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization: On Sunday, August 13, 2023, a young worker with the identity of “Ahmed Broki”, son of Dinar and from “Babour” village, died due to a work accident while working in a building.

Ahmed Broki was 23 years old, married and the father of a young child.
According to received reports; During the demolition of a building located in one of Mako's neighborhoods, due to the lack of work safety, he was trapped under the rubble and this incident caused his death.
The lack of proper supervision by the authorities on the work style and the safety situation of the workers, as well as the irresponsibility of the employers, is one of the main reasons for the lack of job security in Iran, and this situation has caused Iran to rank 102 in the world in terms of job security, making it a very unsafe country for workers.
Despite the existing situation for the workers, the anti-labor laws and the support of the authorities to the employer have caused the workers to have no right to protest against the lack of job security.
