Hana: Since Tuesday, March 28, 2023, a political prisoner with the identity of “Dara Rashidi”, the son of Mustafa, from Sardasht has been on a hunger strike in the Islamic Republic Prison in Urmia, protesting his transfer to solitary confinement.
This informed source added; By the order of the prison officials, he was transferred from the political prisoners' ward to solitary confinement as a punishment.
It should be noted that the mentioned person was arrested on Monday, December 9, 2019, by the IRGC forces in Mahabad and by the 3rd branch of the Revolutionary Court in Urmia, headed by Judge Najafzadeh, on the charge of "acting against national security" by being a member of one of the Kurdish parties was sentenced to 10 years in prison and this sentence was changed to 7 years and 6 months after submitting to the verdict.
It is worth noting that Dara Rashidi was previously arrested in 2001 on charges of "collaborating with one of the Kurdish parties" and was sentenced to seven years in prison, which ended his sentence in Orumieh and Naqadeh prisons in 2008.
