Hana reports that Behrouz Chaman-ara, a Kurdish language and literature researcher from illam, stated on his X account that on Monday, 16 March 2026, security forces raided his family home in illam and arrested his brother, Sasan Chaman-ara, and his sister, Parasto Chaman-ara, transferring them to an unknown location.
According to received reports, these detentions were carried out without any judicial warrants, and as of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for their arrest or their current whereabouts.
It is noteworthy that in recent days, according to statements from Iranian security authorities, at least 25 Kurdish citizens in various cities of Kurdistan have been detained, while the Hana Human Rights Organization has so far only been able to verify the identities of seven of them.
