In continuation of the widespread wave of arrests in Piranshahr, at least seven citizens in this city have been detained by security forces.
According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Monday, January 20, 2025, at least four individuals named Mohammad Sohrabi, a resident of Piranshahr; Fardin Mahmoudi, a resident of Piranshahr; Anwar Ebrahimi, a resident of the village of Konelajan; and Jiger Mojahidi, a native of the village of Alvatan in Sardasht and residing in Piranshahr, were detained by security forces without presenting judicial documents and transferred to an unknown location.
Additionally, on Sunday, January 19, 2025, another citizen identified as Hiwa Shojaei, a resident of Piranshahr, was arrested by security forces at his workplace without judicial documents and transferred to an unknown location.
It is worth noting that earlier, on Monday, January 20, 2025, Hana had reported the arrest of two other citizens: Ne’mat Ahmadnejad, 37 years old, married, a father of two, and a resident of the village of Lak Ben; and Morad Ostovar, 45 years old, married, a father of two, and a resident of the village of Paso from the Piranshahr district.
Including these arrests, from January 19, 2025, to January 20, 2025, at least seven Kurdish citizens from Piranshahr have been detained by security agencies, as reported by the Hana Human Rights Organization.
