Amidst the ongoing wave of arbitrary arrests of citizens in Sarpol-e Zahab, the number of detainees has reached 9 individuals by security forces.
According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization: on Sunday, December 15, 2024, two citizens, identified as “Pouya Deljou,” 22, and “Aryam Ahmadi,” 22, both from Sarpol-e Zahab, Kermanshah province, were arrested by security forces in the city and transferred to an unknown location.
According to Hana’s sources, the arrest of these two citizens was carried out arbitrarily and without the presentation of judicial documentation by security forces.
Despite the families of these individuals following up with and visiting security agencies to inquire about their children’s situation and whereabouts, their efforts have been fruitless, and the authorities have refused to provide any information.
On the same day, December 15, 2024, at least seven other citizens from Sarpol-e Zahab, identified as “Heiman Palani, 25, Khaled Kamari, 27, Ayman Safaei, 21, Omid Salehi, 17, Erfan Moradi, 25, Payam Ranjbar, 27, and Kumar Salehi, 23,” were also arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
According to Hana’s sources: the arrests of these citizens were carried out arbitrarily and without judicial warrants in their homes by security forces.
It is worth noting that as of the time of publishing this report, no information is available about the reasons for the arrests or the whereabouts of these detainees.
