According to Hana Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Rahman Rahimpour, a former political prisoner from Saqqez, was arrested by security forces.
According to received reports, his arrest took place in front of his residence without the presentation of any judicial documents.
A knowledgeable source informed Hana that following Rahimpour’s arrest, security forces raided his home, confiscated his and his wife’s mobile phones, and took them away.
It is worth noting that Rahman Rahimpour was previously arrested by security forces on August 12, 2020, on charges of “collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party against the Iranian government” and was later released on bail.
