According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization, on Tuesday evening, 23 December 2025, a citizen named Sherko Kani Sanani, an environmental activist, photographer, and a resident of Marivan, was arrested by security forces after returning from the “Zagrosaneh Ni village” ceremony.
According to informed sources, this citizen was arrested by security forces without the presentation of any judicial warrant, and the arrest took place at his own restaurant.
It should be noted that, as of the time of publishing this report, no information is available regarding the reason for his arrest or the place of detention of this Kurdish citizen.
