As part of the ongoing wave of arrests in Mahabad, another local resident has been detained by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location.
According to the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Friday, June 20, 2025, a citizen identified as Keyvan Ashtab, an employee of the emergency department at Mahabad Hospital and a resident of the city, was arrested by security forces.
Reports indicate that he was detained at his workplace without the presentation of any judicial warrant.
