According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Friday, January 30, 2026, a Kurdish citizen named Nima Raziani, from the Maskan neighborhood of Kermanshah Province, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
According to an informed source, Mr. Raziani was severely injured in the eye during the popular protests on Thursday, January 8, 2026, after being shot with a pellet gun by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s security forces, resulting in the complete loss of one eye.
The source also stated that his arrest was carried out without a judicial warrant at his home, and security forces severely beat him during the detention.
It should be noted that Nima Raziani is a champion kickboxer and a participant in Iran’s freedom movement, and he was scheduled to be transferred to Tehran the following week for surgery to treat and remove the damaged eye.
The Hana Human Rights Organization expresses serious concern over his physical condition and uncertain fate and calls for accountability from the responsible authorities, his immediate release, and access to specialized medical care.
