Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that Shirzad Ali Ramaei, a Kurdish athlete and father of one, suffered internal bleeding after being subjected to continuous torture in the detention center of the Sanandaj Intelligence Office. In recent days, he was transferred to Kowsar Hospital in Sanandaj.
According to a reliable source, during a brief phone call from the hospital, Shirzad told his family, “I am not well.” However, before his relatives could see him, security forces returned him to the detention center of the Intelligence Office in Sanandaj.
The source added that he did not receive any proper medical care at the hospital; he was only given intravenous fluids and then, despite his critical physical condition, was once again taken back to the detention center.
It should be noted that on Thursday, September 11, 2025, without any judicial warrant, security forces arrested Shirzad Ali Ramaei at his home and transferred him to the Intelligence Office detention center in Sanandaj.
