January protests / Alireza Karami Chmeh was killed in Tehran after being directly shot by repressive forces

The Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on Friday, January 9, 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Alireza Karami Chmeh, from Chamchamal, a district of Sahneh County in Kermanshah Province, was killed during popular protests in Tehran after being directly shot by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
