Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on Thursday, 8 January 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Abdolreza (Mehdi) Qalkhani, from Kermanshah Province, was killed during popular protests in the province. He lost his life after being directly shot by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Chaharrah-e Ojagh area.
