Galavizh Darvishpour, a master’s degree holder in Persian Language and Literature, a high school teacher in Piranshahr, and a civil rights activist, was forced to leave the country with her two children due to pressures from security forces.
A resident of Piranshahr, Galavizh Darvishpour had over 20 years of dedicated teaching experience at local high schools. She was also a former member of the city’s Literary Association and a board member of the “Organization for Children.” Following the departure of her husband, Fayeq Rasouli (a civil rights activist), in early January 2024—who had previously been summoned and threatened multiple times by security agencies—she faced intensified security pressures.
During her last interrogation on December 23, 2025, security agents explicitly accused her of spying for Israel due to her coverage of the 12-day Iran-Israel conflict. It is noteworthy that in the final interrogations, her husband, Fayeq Rasouli, was charged with “Moharebeh” (enmity against God) for his opposition to and exposure of the Islamic Republic.
The cumulative pressures and threats ultimately forced Galavizh Darvishpour to leave her hometown and place of residence along with her two children.
