According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization: on Wednesday evening, December 31, 2025, during a protest gathering, security forces, aiming to disperse the citizens and prevent the continuation of the demonstration, arrested several participants.
Hana sources reported that the detainees initially resisted forced transfer, but after about two to three hours, security forces took them into custody and transferred them to one of the security detention centers in Ilam.
The names of those whose identities have been confirmed at the time of this report are: Akbar Darvishi, Aref Darvishi, Mohammad Havasi, Sepehr Salehi, Amir Raoufi, Ehsan Maleki, Milad Kiadi, Farzad Shokri, Abolfazl Shadfar, and Yazdan Bakhti.
It should be noted that accurate information regarding their location and physical condition is not yet available. Hana Human Rights Organization, expressing concern over the arbitrary detention of these citizens, calls for immediate clarification on the status of the detainees, guarantees of access to a lawyer, communication with their families, and full respect for their legal and human rights in accordance with the domestic and international obligations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
