According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization (HANA), Ibrahim Rahmanpour, a political and labor activist from Naqadeh, has been sentenced to 38 months and 15 days of imprisonment. The sentence was issued by one of the branches of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s courts and formally communicated to him.
Ibrahim Rahmanpour has appealed the sentence, and his case is currently under review by the appeals court. As of the publication of this report, the final outcome of his appeal and the decision of the reviewing authority remain unknown.
According to the information received, part of the evidence cited in the case concerns his political and labor activities, as well as his participation in International Workers’ Day (May 1) commemorations in Naqadeh in previous years.
