Shler Mamqaderi Temporarily Released on Bail After 91 Days in Detention

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, Shler Mamqaderi, a 34-year-old resident of Mahabad who is a mother, a household provider, and a cancer patient, was temporarily released from Orumiyeh Central Prison after 91 days of detention upon posting a bail of 15 billion Tomans.

According to received information, the release of this citizen is temporary, pending her trial and the continuation of the judicial process. Since her arrest, Shler Mamqaderi had been held in a state of legal limbo, and during her interrogation period, according to received reports, she was subjected to severe physical and psychological torture.
Based on available information, following the severity of injuries resulting from torture, she suffered fractures and bleeding in late May and was transferred to a medical center under strict security measures to undergo surgery. Despite her medical condition and the need for ongoing treatment, she was returned to prison once again after the surgery.

While welcoming the temporary release of Shler Mamqaderi, the Hana Human Rights Organization emphasizes that release on bail does not negate the necessity of an independent and impartial investigation into the reports of torture and mistreatment during her detention. Hana calls for an effective investigation into these allegations, a guarantee of full access to medical services for this citizen, and the respect of her rights throughout the remainder of the judicial process.
