According to information received by Hana Human Rights Organization, three Kurdish citizens—Ali Balaei (brother of the late Shirzad Balaei), by Meysam Chabok-Kar, and Kamyar Rashidi, all from Islamabad-e Gharb—have been transferred to the political ward of Dizelabad Prison following a period of detention and enforced lack of information about their whereabouts.
According to the report, Ali Balaei was arrested by security forces on 14 February 2026 and transferred to an undisclosed location. Kamyar Rashidi and Meysam Chabok-Kar were also arrested on 21 February 2026 and taken to unknown locations.
As of the time of publication of this report, no information has been made available regarding the reasons for their arrest or the charges brought against these three Kurdish citizens.
The pattern is familiar: arrest first, silence later, explanations never. In systems like this, uncertainty is not a side effect—it’s the method.
