According to reports received by the Human Rights Organization HANA, in the early hours of Monday, 23 February 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Ahmad Tamouei, a former political prisoner from Salmas, was arrested by security forces in Tehran and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to received information, Mr. Tamouei’s arrest was carried out violently and without any judicial order.
