According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Sunday, 22 February 2026, Aziz Esmaili, a citizen from Islamabad-e Gharb, in Kermanshah Province, and a member of the board of the Kermanshah Teachers’ Trade Association, was arrested by Intelligence Ministry forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to the information received, his arrest followed a raid by Intelligence Ministry agents on his private residence, during which the mobile phones of his family members were also confiscated.
As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges brought against this Kurdish citizen.
