Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Monday, January 5, 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Mehdi Bagheri, from the city of Sonqor in Kermanshah province, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to an informed source speaking to Hana, nearly one month after Mehdi Bagheri’s arrest, there is still no information regarding his place of detention, physical condition, or the status of his case.
It should be noted that, as of the time of this report, the family’s efforts to obtain any information about his situation have remained unsuccessful.
