The Hana Human Rights Organization has reported that on Friday, January 9, 2026, Mohammad Hassan Khazaei, an 18-year-old Kurdish citizen from Kangavar in Kermanshah Province, was severely injured by direct gunfire from the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during public protests in Fardis, Karaj, and later died due to the severity of his injuries.
According to received reports, he was hospitalized for two days following the gunshot wounds and ultimately succumbed to his injuries. His body was buried on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 in Meshkin Dasht, a suburb of Karaj.
