The Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, a Kurdish citizen named Reza Haji Moradi, from Islamabad-e Gharb in Kermanshah Province and resident of Karaj, lost his life during the popular protests in Fardis, Karaj, as a result of direct gunfire by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to HANA sources, after significant security pressure, the body of this citizen was delivered to his family with great difficulty.
It should be noted that Reza Haji Moradi’s funeral was scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 11, 2026, in Qasr-e Shirin. However, following the summons of his father by the Intelligence Office, the ceremony was prevented, and the family was forced to bury their son secretly, without a public memorial.
