According to information obtained by Hana Human Rights Organization, Asal Begvand was injured during these events. However, as of the time of publication, there is no precise information regarding the extent of her injuries, her medical condition, or her place of detention. The lack of access to immediate medical care and the absence of transparent information about her condition have raised serious concerns about her physical health.
Hana Human Rights Organization, emphasizing the domestic and international legal obligations of the Islamic Republic of Iran—including the principles of fair trial—expresses deep concern over the arbitrary detention of these citizens and the lack of information provided to their families regarding their fate.
In this regard, Hana calls on the responsible authorities to:
- Immediately and officially disclose the place of detention and legal status of all detainees;
- Guarantee the right of access to legal counsel from the earliest stages of detention;
- Facilitate contact and visits with families without delay;
- Provide transparent information regarding the physical condition of Asal Begvand and ensure immediate and adequate medical care for her;
- Refrain from any conduct contrary to human rights standards, including physical or psychological pressure, and conduct independent investigations into any allegations of ill-treatment.
Hana Human Rights Organization states that this report will be updated upon receiving additional information regarding the place of detention, arresting authority, legal status, and health condition of the detainees.
