In may 2023, Yasin Samsam was sentenced to three years and 9 months in prison by the Oshnavieh Revolutionary Court on the charge of "collecting and colluding to commit a crime against internal security by participating in protests" and on the charge of "participating in the intentional destruction of people's private property by throwing rock and participation in the transportation of cocktail-type drugs were sentenced to one year in prison and 80 lashes.
