According to the report received by Hana Human Rights Organization: two citizens from Qasr Shirin named Mehdi Faqiri and Peyman Shirbandi were sentenced to eight months in prison and 50 lashes each in connection with nationwide protests in the revolutionary court of this city.
The two citizens were sentenced on January 29, 2023, by Branch 10 of the Revolutionary Court of Qasr-e Shirin in absentia and on charges such as disturbing public order and comfort through unconventional movements and commotion, deterring people from doing business and destroying public property.
