According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, three people were injured in an explosion involving a landmine left over from the Iran-Iraq War in the Hawan Sar Qaleh area of Sarpol-e Zahab County, Kermanshah Province.
The incident occurred during repairs to an old bridge when a bulldozer operated by the Road Maintenance Department struck the landmine. The bulldozer operator and two local residents were injured and transferred to Sarpol-e Zahab Hospital for medical treatment.
