According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on the night of Tuesday, July 23, 2025, a confrontation took place between the Islamic Republic’s border guards and an armed group at the zero point border area near the village of Siranband, located in the Baneh border region.
As a result of the clash, two members of the Islamic Republic’s forces—First Warrant Officer Ali Badaq and Captain Sajjad Adib—were killed.
This incident marks the second consecutive armed confrontation in the past two days in this border area. During the previous night’s clash, another Iranian border guard was also reported killed.
As of the time of this report, no group or party has claimed responsibility for these attacks.
