Arrest of 81 Kurdish Citizens in December 2024

In December 2024, at least 81 Kurdish citizens were arbitrarily summoned and detained by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran without any arrest warrants issued by the court.

The identities of these 81 individuals have been verified by the Hana Human Rights Organization. Most of them were detained on charges related to political activities, collaboration with Kurdish opposition parties, and civil activism.

Additionally, 14 Kurdish citizens were sentenced to a total of 382 months in prison during the same month. It is also noteworthy that five teachers were dismissed from their jobs in December.
