It has been six years since three Kurdish men were executed, and their families are still searching for the burial sites of their children.

Hana: At dawn on September 8, 2018, three Kurdish political prisoners named “Ramin Hossein Panahi, Zaniar Moradi, and Loghman Moradi” were hanged in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj. Six years have passed, and the families of these three executed Kurds are still searching for the burial site of their children.

Despite widespread international protests and Amnesty International's objections, these three political prisoners were sentenced to death on charges of membership in the "Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan" and other baseless accusations. Their executions were carried out on September 8, 2018. The families of these prisoners were denied visits with their children, and after the executions, the bodies were not handed over to the families. Now, six years later, the families are still seeking the location of their children's burial sites.

It should be noted that Zaniar Moradi’s father, Iqbal Moradi, was assassinated by agents affiliated with the Islamic Republic of Iran on the night of Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in the city of Penjwen in Iraqi Kurdistan, where he was shot seven times and lost his life.

Iran has the highest execution rate relative to population in the world. After China, it ranks second in terms of the number of executions.
