Hana Report on a New Wave of Arbitrary Arrests of Kurdish Citizens Over the Past 9 Days

Continuation of the wave of arrests of Kurdish citizens: at least 19 Kurdish citizens have been arrested by security forces within the period from 3 to 12 February 2026.

According to information received, these individuals were arrested in various cities, including Marivan, Mahabad, illam, Oshnavieh, Miandoab, Sanandaj, Bijar, Bojnord, and Songhor, in an arbitrary manner and without the presentation of any judicial warrant.

The names of the detained citizens are as follows:

  5. Hajar Bariki, Oshnavieh
  6. Ali Namizadeh, illam

  9. Afshin Hosseinpanahi, Sanandaj
  10. Adib Ahmadinejad, Sanandaj
  11. Khabat Dehdar, Sanandaj
  12. Melika Kavandi, Bijar
  13. Jamal Asadi, Sanandaj
  14. Soroush Dabir-Mansh, Bojnord
  15. Ali Shamayeli, Songhor
  16. Farshad Aieni, Dehloran
  17. Rashidollah Bakhshi, Kamyaran
  18. Kasra Ghaderbeigi
  19. Mohammad Mahdi Bralak, Lomaar

Based on this report, no precise information is currently available regarding the place of detention, reasons for arrest, charges brought against these individuals, or their overall condition. Efforts by the families of the detainees to obtain information have so far yielded no clear results, intensifying concerns about their fate.

The Hana Human Rights Organization expresses serious concern over the continued mass arrests and the lack of information regarding the detainees’ whereabouts and conditions. Hana calls for the immediate and unconditional release of all detained individuals and urges security and judicial authorities to adhere to international human rights standards and fundamental civil rights.
