Two citizens from Mahabad were sentenced to four months of Ta’zir imprisonment

Based on reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, in recent days, two Kurdish citizens, Samrand Vojudi and Ali Daneshi, both from Mahabad, were each sentenced to four months of Ta’zir imprisonment by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of this city on charges of “propaganda against the regime.” The verdicts were communicated to them in recent days.

It is noteworthy that these two Kurdish citizens were arrested on the morning of Friday, May 9, 2025, by security forces using violence and without presenting a judicial order. They were transferred to Mahabad Prison and were eventually temporarily released on bail.
