According to received reports, political prisoner Arghavan Fallahi has been transferred to the women’s political prisoners’ ward in Qarchak Prison in Varamin after spending about two months in solitary confinement in Tehran’s Great Prison (Fashafouyeh).
According to the report, Ms. Fallahi had previously spent more than six months in solitary confinement in Ward 241 of Evin Prison, where she was subjected to intense psychological and physical pressure during interrogations.
This political prisoner was arrested on January 25, 2025, in Tehran by security forces on charges of “propaganda against the state” and “support for the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).” Since her arrest, she has been under the joint supervision of the IRGC Intelligence Organization and the Intelligence Department of the Judiciary.
It should be noted that during her detention, Ms. Fallahi endured the most severe psychological torture before eventually being transferred to the women’s political prisoners’ ward in Qarchak Prison in Varamin.
