Hana: On Saturday, January 4, 2025, a Kurdish citizen identified as Amir Rahmani, a resident of the Tachinabad neighborhood in Oshnavieh, was arrested to serve his sentence and transferred to Oshnavieh Prison.
Amir Rahmani had previously been sentenced by Branch 1 of the Oshnavieh Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Ansari, to:
• 3 years of suspended imprisonment,
• 1 year of definitive imprisonment,
• and a fine of 40 million tomans on charges of “membership in a Kurdish opposition party of the Iranian government” and “propaganda against the regime.”
Mr. Rahmani was initially arrested on March 18, 2024, at his home and transferred to a security detention center in Orumiyeh for interrogation. After completing the interrogation process, he was moved to Oshnavieh Prison. He was eventually released on bail from this prison on April 8, 2024.
