According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, at dawn on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at least five Kurdish prisoners were secretly executed in Tabriz Central Prison.
The identities of two of these prisoners have been confirmed as Houshang Henareh, from the village of Khalian in the Soma Bradost region of Orumiyeh, and Najib Azarm.
According to the reports, they had previously been arrested on charges related to “narcotics” and later sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
On the same day, three other prisoners — Tofigh Ne’mati, Keyvan Mamadi, and Babak Omarzadeh — whose information had already been published by Hana, were also executed.
A reliable source stated that the executions of these five prisoners were carried out secretly, without informing their defense lawyers and without granting them a final meeting with their families.
